....Sort of.
I'm an excellent crocheter, I bake a delicious cake, I have super-human reading skills. I wield a Nerf Blaster with deadly aim. All in all, I consider myself reasonably intelligent and gather new skills rather quickly... until the day I firmly committed to publishing my own website. It's "Flowers for Algernon" for the modern age. I approached the whole project with excitement, Hey, I'm computer-savvy! I know my way around a keyboard! I can clear the cache; I know what cookies are! I sat down and cracked the laptop, poised my fingers over the home row and .... completely blanked. I didn't know what to do, where to start, costs involved. At this point my previously lauded skill set was useless. Anxiety replaced excitement as I realized I knew nothing. I won't bore you with the details, unless you really want them - let me know in the comments. I researched, I read better-written articles than this one, tried and erred but I have it figured it out now (mostly). It has not been an overnight endeavor; it's taken 8 months of working at least 4 hours daily to get my site up and running. It's been worth it. I love that I have a place to share my love of fiber arts with you. And I do love it. All of it. Roving, yarn, crochet, oh my! I can't wait for you to see my reviews on yarns. I'm thrilled to get your feedback on pattern postings. My kid, dogs, cats and husband are funny, sweet and smart so you'll hear about them too. I want your feedback so don't hesitate to talk to me via the comments here. If you ask a question, I'll answer it. I hope you'll enjoy the life that I share with you here.
