We're all tucked away in our homes and we have been for some time.  I feel like I've watched EVERY.SINGLE.THING in my streaming watchlists... so I decided to tackle a new yarn skill, but more on that another time...

Maybe you're like me and need an activity that makes you feel productive or one that requires focus, if so, knitting is for you my friend!

In Part One, we'll talk about yarn (my favorite part!) and I'll introduce you to the foundation blocks of knitting and by the end of our time  together you'll have a pair of fingerless mitts like these!

To get started in this endeavor and to complete the Technique Mitts you will need the following essential supplies:
Picture

•yarn, size 4, worsted – acrylic or wool blend recommended
•knitting needles, size 7, straight Bamboo or wood recommended
•scissors
•detachable stitch marker, paperclip, or safety pin
•yarn needle
•ruler or measuring tape

Next week, we look at what makes knitting unique, we'll delve into the specifics of yarn and we'll get those needles moving!

Until next week, stay healthy and sane!
